Mission

Andrew Dickson White, co-founder and first president of Cornell University, belonged to and believed in the college fraternity: “the best substitute possible for the family relation,” as he put it.

We, the alumni of those fraternities, come together through the Alumni Interfraternity Council (AIFC) to support the best of Greek life, and to continue its rich and meaningful contributions to undergraduate life at Cornell University.

The mission of the Cornell University Alumni Interfraternity Council (AIFC) is

  • to support the development of leadership, scholarship, service and brotherhood in the active members of Cornell fraternities;
  • to enhance Cornell University through the positive and pro-active role of fraternities; and
  • to ensure that Cornell fraternities survive and thrive as positive institutions in the Cornell community.
